DECHEMA promotes scientific and technical exchange among experts from different disciplines, organizations and generations. Our aim is to boost the competitiveness of Germany and Europe as a pre-eminent business location for chemistry and biotechnology, to position chemical engineering, process engineering and biotechnology in the public and political spheres as important key technologies and problem solvers, and also to increase awareness of the benefits of these disciplines for society. Together with DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH, we organize ACHEMA.

With more than 100 members, Business Angels FrankfurtRheinMain e.V., founded in 2000, is the largest Business Angel network in Germany. The matching events that are organized c. 10 times per year offer a meeting place fo innovative founders and companies with Business Angels. Business Angels invest risk capital at the founding and early growth stages and offer entrepreneurial experience and valuable contacts in exchange for a share in the start-up's success.

High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) is a seed investor that finances high-potential, tech-driven startups. With EUR 895.5 million in total investment volume across three funds and an international network of partners, HTGF has already helped forge more than 560 startups since 2005. Driven by their expertise, entrepreneurial spirit and passion, its team of experienced investment managers and startup experts help guide the development of young companies. HTGF’s focus is on high-tech startups in a range of sectors, including software, media, internet, hardware, automation, health care, chemistry and life sciences.

To date, external investors have injected over EUR 2 billion into the HTGF portfolio via more than 1,400 follow-on financing rounds. HTGF has also successfully sold interests in more than 100 companies. Investors in this public-private partnership include the Federal Ministry For Economic Affairs and Energy, the KfW Capital as well as 34 investors from industry.

The VCI represents the politico-economic interests of German chemical and pharma-ceutical companies and German subsidiaries of foreign businesses vis-à-vis important target groups: politicians, public authorities, other industries, science and media. With some 1,700 member companies the German chemical industry association Verband der Chemischen Industrie (VCI) stands for over 90 percent of the chemical-pharmaceutical industry in Germany in terms of turnover. In 2019 the industry realised sales of over 193 billion euros and employed ca. 465,000 staff.

The German Federation of Industrial Research Associations - AiF in short - is the leading national organization promoting applied research and development benefiting Germany’s small and medium-sized businesses. It builds up alliances together with partners from industry, science and government in order to turn ideas into successful products, processes or services in the market. 100 industrial research associations with approx. 50,000 businesses, mostly SMEs, as members, 1,200 associated research institutes and the AiF’s affiliates in Cologne and Berlin contribute to the AiF innovation network.
